SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST - 12-MONTH CONTRACT
Torxen Oil & Gas Ltd. is a private fast paced, dynamic Oil and Gas company, located in the south-eastern area of Alberta called the Palliser Block, with the better part of 60,000 BOE/day with a diverse product portfolio consisting of a 60% gas and 40% oil production.
About this Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a motivated Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, the role presents an exciting opportunity to develop and implement supply chain processes towards compliance and cost efficiencies, in line with Torxen’s strategic goals, and in close collaboration with our operations, support functions, and our suppliers.
Key Initiatives that you will be able to participate include:
Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)
Prepare and implement the contract lifecycle management system, considering contract templates, approval workflows, and compliance monitoring tools.
Collaborate with stakeholders to increase third party spend contractual coverage applying the rolled out CLM tool.
Monitor contracts for proactive renewal with the stakeholders.
Sourcing and Supplier Management
Document and oversee the supplier onboarding process ensuring procurement, HSE requirements, due diligence, executed contracts, price lists and other required system setup related tasks, are met.
Establish and maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) consolidating data from multiple procurement and finance systems. Participate in sourcing activities, such as request for quotes (RFQ) and request for proposals (RFP), to obtain pricing for new products and services.
Procure-to-pay (P2P)
Collaborate in the Supply Chain Help Desk assisting suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure compliant and timely supplier payments.
Analyze, identify, and implement actions to increase invoice compliance against the agreed rates in our system (i.e. PriceBook).
Continuous Improvement Projects
Conduct detailed spend analysis to identify, propose and execute cost reduction opportunities.
Reporting
Develop and maintain reports to ensure visibility and tracking of key process indicators.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years’ direct experience or a degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, comparable degree (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
Experience in the oil and gas industry considered an asset.
Intermediate-to-advanced proficiency of Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerBI).
